Care Guide

Silki's luxurious Eye Masks, Pyjamas, Robes and Pillow Cases are all 22 momme pure mulberry silk as recommended by experts. Silk fibres, unlike most materials, are minimally absorbent so they won't draw moisture from your serums and creams or deplete your skin of hydration. Pure silk is naturally hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, which helps to prevent bacteria related breakouts and strengthens the skin's natural barrier. Due to silks natural properties and anti bacterial properties you can prolong the time you wear it before washing.

All of our garments are made to be highest possible standards. Each garment and accessory goes through a quality control inspection to make sure what we are delivering you is the best quality possible. We design all of our prints in house each season by the founders themselves.

SILK PRODUCTS CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • We recommend dry cleaning and hand washing all silk items in a cold water wash with a specialist silk detergent. This will preserve the life of the garment and avoid shrinkage
  • Iron on a cool setting to restore silk lustre
  • Do not tumble dry

SLIPPERS CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • We recommend spot cleaning this item
  • Do not tumble dry

BRIDAL AND BRIDESMAID COTTON TEES

  • Cold machine wash
  • The tees can be ironed on a warm setting but you must avoid the flocked lettering. We suggest putting your iron on the cotton setting
  • These items can also be steamed on the cotton setting

DO NOT MACHINE WASH SILK

  • We don't recommend machine washing your silk products but we understand sometimes this can happen. If you trust your washing machine please make sure this is put on a cold delicate wash and the items are placed in a delicates bag
  • Do not wash your items in a wash warmer than 30C. We recommend 20C if you have no stains and 30C if there are light stains. The cooler water the better
  • Avoid using any stain removers
  • It is very important you use a specialist silk detergent. Non-specialist detergents often use harsh chemicals that can damage the finish of the silk or the colour of the garments

DRYING AND IRONING YOUR ITEMS

  • Never put your STL products in the tumble dryer
  • If you wish to iron your silk items to restore its lustre and sheen make sure you iron them on the coolest setting and iron on the reverse side of the garment. If you need to iron directly onto the front of the garment we recommend you place a cotton cloth over the area to protect the silk
